Hi! I’m Kirsten “K.R.” Sexton-Murrell.
Art Director | Designer | Maker of things
A passionately curious little lady with a determined spirit and empathic nature, living in the Greater Seattle area. In my current role, I wear the hat of Design Lead at an Amazon agency, orchestrating the success stories of numerous businesses in the Amazon/e-commerce realm. Previously, I was a freelance graphic designer working on designing promotional products for movie releases, a sole proprietor, and freelance graphic artist. Pre-pandemic, I worked as a Marketing Graphic Designer for the YMCA of Orange County where I combined my passion for design with my unwavering commitment to community enrichment. And way back when, I was a Special Mock Up (SMU) Designer for Rip Curl, splashing my creativity onto women’s t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and more.
Yenno those dreams and wonders brought to life in Disneyland, California Adventure, and Disney hotels in Anaheim? I had a hand in that too as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator with Walt Disney Imagineering, a dream come true.
While working as a design professional, I’ve also been pursuing my own small art business through my Etsy shop. With this passion project, I’ve further developed my Illustration and Design abilities, practiced Social Media Marketing, connected with audiences all over the world, creating connection with viewers on YouTube, practiced how to humanize customer service and content writing, blogged, experimented with Photography and Photo editing, and so much more. It has been one of the most fulfilling journeys I’ve had in life thus far.

Beyond work, I have too many special interests to name. I have a curiosity for the paranormal (from a safe distance, ghosts), a not-so-secret obsession with Nancy Drew computer games, a knack for quilting/sewing, a constant hunger for thrift store adventures, and a sharp eye for hidden gems in antique shops. Interior design is my playground, and I love capturing everyday moments in home videos. I also enjoy visiting the filming locations of my favorite movies and behind the scenes footage of movies/tv/video games. I can also be found having virtual arts & crafts gatherings and volunteering for the nearby local state park.
